If you would like to adopt a bear, but prefer to send a check or money order, send me an email letting me know which bear your interested in and I'll send you an invoice for the total amount due along with my mailing information.
I'll update the website and will be sure to let you know when your payment is received and your bear is on the way. Payments must be received within 5 days (unless other arrangements have been made) to avoid relisting.
Important: Each bear is offered through the website on a first come basis and unfortunately there are times when the paypal button allows more then one buyer to purchase the same bear or several inquiry emails will arrive within minutes of each other. If this happens, I will let you know as quickly as possible and will promptly send a refund. I can't tell you how awful I feel when this occurs, but have to be fair to each buyer.
Layaway Policy & Terms
The bears are offered through layaway 4-7 days after being added to the website if they haven't found a home. Please note, bears may be offered through eBay before being offered with a layaway option.
The layaway option will appear on the adoption page .
Terms: A 40% deposit is required immediately (through paypal) and then the balance can be split into 2-4 payments depending on the bear's adoption fee. Payments are due every two weeks . A Paypal invoice will be sent when payment is due. If payments are not made and other arrangements have not been agreed upon, the initial deposit will be non-refundable.

About the Bears
Most of my bears start from soft imported German mohair, but every once in a while a fabric will call out to me and a bear or cub is born. Although every bear has his or her own unique personality, most do tend to have similar features such as, glass or shoebutton eyes, wool or ultrasuede paw pads, hand stitched noses and airbrushed or hand painted accents. I usually list their individual features in the listings or along with their adoption information.
All the bears go to their new homes with a certificate of authenticity, a signed and dated hang tag and an initialed paw pad.
Your bear will be packaged with care and shipped within 2 business days from my smoke free home.
I use premium loft fiberfil and steel shot when stuffing the bears for a hefty healthy feeling and joint each one with steel cotterpins or locknuts, steel washers and fiberboard or hard board discs.
After lots of hugs, fluffing and brushing, I usually add an accent around his or her neck and give a close look (and listen) until his or her name comes to mind. Then that new cub or bruin is offered for immediate adoption.
All the bears are intended for adult collectors, they are not intended for children due to small parts.

If you adopt one of my bears directly from me and are unhappy with him or her for any reason, simply send me an email within 3 days of his or her receipt letting me know you'll be sending your bear back and I will prompty refund your purchase price once I receive the bear back in his or her original condition. Sorry shipping and insurance charges are non-refundable.
Insurance
Insurance is always available for an additional charge. Sorry I cannot be responsible for uninsured items once shipping. I'm happy to provide copies of receipts if needed and will do my best to help with tracking whenever possible. Shipping labels are usually printed through Paypal or USPS.com so that tracking information is available.

Since I often mix and match my patterns and never really keep track of which type of mohair or plush I use on a particular bear it helps to keep each one unique. After hand stitching noses, trimming faces and airbrushing every bear becomes one of a kind with his or her own personality. While each of my bears may have similar features, I do my best to change furs and styles as often as possible. To help force me to use my imagination and to create new and unique cubs I don't currently take custom orders. This helps ensure I'm being fair to each collector by not duplicating his or her teddy.

I've recently seen a few spam emails that contain my name or business name in some way and wanted to be sure to let you know they are not from me. Please be careful when opening emails and clicking on links. There are definitely some people out there that have to much time and energy on their hands. It's sad that we have to be so cautious, but please don't be tempted to open emails from people or email addresses you don't know.

You choose the amount and someone special gets to choose a bear. When you purchase a certificate through paypal you will be given a printable copy to wrap, stocking stuff or send. When a bear is available for adoption the recipient would just hit the Paypal "buy now" button. They will be asked to enter the certificate redemption code and the amount will automatically be deducted from the total. There is no expiration date on the certificate so your bear lover can wait to choose that perfect cub, bruin or teddy.
